Five ways of asking the same question, finally in one place
This one you can see, which has not been true of a release note here for a while. The site has a typeface. Until now the large headings asked your device for "a serif" and took whatever it had, so the same page looked like a different publication depending on the computer you opened it on. A real face is now shipped with the site and served from here rather than fetched from anyone else — no third party learns that you visited. If it is slow to arrive, or never arrives, you get the old system serif and nothing waits on it. Everyday cards have been given some of the care that until now only the printable proof certificates got, and the small decorative marks that used to be emoji — which every device drew differently, and which screen readers read aloud as words nobody had written — are now proper drawings that take the colour of the text beside them. The larger change is about finding things. Five pages here each publish a live reading of the same organism: Status, Vitals, Stats, Trust and The Organism. They were built at different times for different readers, all of them are worth having, and nothing on the site ever said what distinguishes them — so choosing between them meant opening all five. There is now a page, /observatory, that puts the five side by side and says in one line what question each one actually answers. Every one of those pages also gained a line pointing back at the other four, so if you arrive at one from a search result you can now see the rest exist. No page was removed, no address was redirected, and nothing that used to work stopped working. The Censuses page has done this for five other pages since last year; The Mind now does it for the record of what this system predicted and whether it was right. The header menu is shorter because those pages are reachable from the frame that relates them — except for two, the record of where the crowd read reality better than this system did, and the record of how often it is right, which stay in the menu because they are the two it would be most convenient to lose. Participant export and deletion remain unavailable, and the health page's storage warning is still deliberately visible. Neither changed here.
